Geez! Sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed... My comment was to the king of wankers. Do I have a problem with your blog? Nope. Do I have problem with you? Nope. My point about your blog is that some of the stuff isn't positive. With respect to the Informix book blog, I thought it funny that it was blocked as inappropriate content. With respect to the Army Win, yes you did post about it, and then I found it in Jerry Keesee's presentation. It wasn't a win at all. Do I expect more from you? naw, you're a clown. I expect you to just clown around. Do I expect more from Jerry K and IBM? You bet your sweet ass I do. There's a difference. I'm not talking about spending billions on marketing or trying to compete head to head with Sun's MySQL or Oracle. But what I do expect is a tad more intelligence and thought behind their actions. I also said that I don't have a vested interest in writing a blog about Informix. Heck, my contracts for the past couple of gigs have been Oracle based. I'm getting calls if I know C# and .Net with SQLServer. So why should I dedicate a blog to IDS? IBM doesn't write my paycheck so why should I give them free marketing support? > Date: Mon, 16 Feb 2009 17:21:26 +0000 > From: obnoxio@serendipita.com > CC: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Re: {Spam?} RE: Informix Roundup: 13 February 2009 > > Ian Michael Gumby wrote: > > Sorry, I don't know what' you're talking about. > > I could explain why OTC may have a vested interest in his running blog, > > but then he'd probably want to kill me. ;-) > > I don't have any such interest and my point was that if you're just > > going to google any net new links since your last search, you should > > really take the time to do your homework. > > > > After all, there aren't that many net new links. > > Jesus fucking Christ on a three-wheeled fucking bicycle.
