ISQL problem, no manual, please help !!

Hi All I'm reluctant to waste your time with this, but I have an ISQL problem and no manual (!) I want a single table form to prohibit *everything* apart from a query. I also want to display a suitable message when they try to do an add update or delete. I know it has something to do with : "before editadd edit update update add", but have forgotten the syntax ! I know I could revoke priveleges at the database level, but don't ask, it's a long story ! Also, I looked in the Informix International Users Group archive, but found no suitable examples(?). If anybody has any sophisticated ISQL based systems that do lot's of fancy stuff in the instructions section please upload, I ( and probably others ) would be very grateful.
