As a completely off the wall suggestion, have they got mirrored disks that they could break, or could they add a third mirror disk as a backup ? Of course. The client has an EMC SAN which we maintain for them, and do all sorts of sexy test copies and fantastic "instant" point-in-time recovery, all of which you can read about in the White Papers section of the fantastic webiste www.ardenta.com ... but I digress ... That is an excellent thought, but unfortunately it would only apply if problems were encountered with 9.40 straightaway. Suppose we converted on the Saturday then on the Wednesday found problems in a critical business process that required a back-out .... we'd be stuffed. -- Neil Truby t:01932 724027 Director m:07798 811708 Ardenta Limited e:neil.truby@ardenta.com "Colin Bull" <c.bull@videonetworks.com> wrote in message news:btlr8i$rab$1@terabinaries.xmission.com... > > > Neil Truby wrote > > > > 165122 REVERSION FROM 9.4 SHOULD FINISH WITH APPROPRIATE > > (PRE94) CHECKPOINT > > LOG RECORD. > > > > There's no workaround.
