Informix, VB 5, Text, Blob, SLOW, Help!

We are experiencing horrendous access times with VB 5 and RDO using CLI (ODBC) and text or blob fields. Does anyone have the same problem? Better yet does anyone have a solution? I repeated this message because on the laset one I entered my wrong email dwalden@mailexcite.com thanks
