C program & Stored Procedures

Dear Netizens I am trying to program an Informix stored procedure to call an external C program running on a HP9000 running HPUX 9.x. We are using Informix Online 5.01. The C program will return some results and update to the Informix databases as well. Is this possible? Pls help to give me some tips on how this can be done.
