Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

The accepting of new engine connections is facilitated by listener
threads. The rate of making new connections will be indivual to
every system depending on resources avialbble so I can't tell
you a number to expect.
To start multiple listener threads you'll need to use multiple ports
and multiple DBSERVERNAMES (in onconfig). Then assign divide the users
between the defined DBSERVERNAMES.
sqlhosts
--------
dbservername1 ontlitcp hostname port1dbservername2 ontlitcp hostname port1 - this can be the same
onconfig
--------
DBSERVERNAME dbservername1
DBSERVERALIASES dbservername2
You can verify that you have multiple listeners running by running
onstat -g ath | grep listen
