The performance will vary depending on what you do, but for reasonably simple selects we have had good performance (with other ODBC drivers but SQL Retriever is supposed to be ok). >2) If I'm just using Access as a query tool, can I assume that importing the >tables of the Informix SE database is better then linking to the database? Probably. It will depend on what kind of PC you have on your desk and and as your SCO server. It may also depend on the queries. I wouldn't import as long as the linking gives you reasonable performance. >3) If I do link to the Informix SE database, can I make changes to the data in >the Informix SE database? You can, more or less like on native Access tables. Nils.Myklebust@ccmail.telemax.no NM Data AS, Postbox 9090, Gronland, N-0133 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company
