I think many are adopting a wait and see attitude. Waiting to see the next step Informix will take. I could be wrong, but you never know. The difference in the web sites between Oracle and Informix is a prime example of how things can work. One site caters to developers, the other caters to management. One is doing great, the other is not. One is paying attention to the market, the other is not. One has momentum the other does not. The one with momentum will probably continue to have a great job market, the other, well...
