I thought Brits, unlike Yankees, could read in between lines, but obviously I
got my stereotypes wrong!
In answer to Keith, my point was that although there are several esoteric ways
to obtain some info (eg I can easily get to the lock mode of a partition using
only dd and od, or by dumping shared memory), surely the best way to obtain
it, in particular for newbies like the original poster, is to use the report
specifically written for that purpose?
