Re: Problem Determination Mastery tutorials are now available for

I feared this might happen. That is why I downlaoded them all when I had the chance. And I too smell the acrid stench of internal politics. That said I am supportive of withdrawing the tutorials if they contain unsupported information. Publicising undocumented features makes them documented IMHO and I certainly would not want to be responsible for explaining to a company why I had lost their complete system because I used an undocumented feature. In fact I had to do it years ago and my company had to rekey all of another company's data. But it was a very long time ago and I have studiously avoided undocumented features since, especially ones which alter things. An undocumented report is one thing .... I trust that the members of this list will be sympathetic to the IBM staff on this list regarding this issue. We need people like Madison to be alert to these issues and to get things done to avoid catastrophes. regards Malcolm ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Hamm" <ahamm@mail.com> To: <informix-list@iiug.org> Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2003 1:13 AM Subject: Re: Problem Determination Mastery tutorials are now available for > Jean Sagi wrote: > > I copied the links on the web page and downloaded one tutorial with > > ftp wiout any problem. > > > > heh-heh - as of now, we see in red letters: > > The IDS Problem Determination Tutorials are temporarily unavailable for > download, please check back soon to download them.
