Dirty Read & Upd.Statistics

Hey expert ! I have a question, which you may be able to answer. Could there be any problem if in an online system you have to processes, which executes in parallel, when the 2 processes are: 1 Update statistics ... 2 Select with isolation level dirty read ... I have been told that there may be problems, but I can't see them.
