Have you considered he might mean learn, not teach, as he wrote in the subject? There are people in the world whose english isn't the best, but that might still become good programmers. They might even learn better english in the process. Start with the excelent manuals and the demo database and applications that comes with Informix. When you have looked at the examples and started to understand the basics make sure you read all the manuals (4GL and SQL) fully. There is no way arround that.
