Re: Finishing Report without printing

The best solution is to print to a file. Unfortunatly you'll probably need a unique file name. To get one - just create a table with a serial column, insert a row and use the sqlca.sqlerrd[2] to get the value generated, append this to a base name, eg. "/tmp/rep_",sqlca.sqlerrd[2] using "<<<<<" then delete from the table. This can then be printed, copied to another file, shown to the screen or ignored ! And finally deleted. (A nice touch as the report only needs to be run once, but can be previewed before being printed.) -- Mike Aubury _\\?/_ |O O| +----------oOOO-\\_/-OOOo---------+---------------------------- -+ | Heisenberg may have been here | mike@aubury.demon.co.uk | +--------------------------------+---------------------------- -+
