AIX 5.2 IFMX 9.40 Does anyone know of a program (possibly web-based) that does not require VPN access to run but would allow, via an odbc connection, ad hoc queries and/or report generations against 9.40 / 10.0 IFMX database engines? Customer is currently using software named "IQ" (Intelligent Query?) against a v5 instance. Customer may or may not be able to write their own SQL code and I do not want them to use the ISQL tool on a production server. Take care. Clifton M. IQ is really old. The company was sold some years ago, but I don't recall to whom. The IBM Data Studio could work. It uses basic JDBC connections, and the core is free. See http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/studio/ If more is desired, look at JasperReports from JasperSoft See http://www.jasperforge.org/jaspersoft/opensource/business_intelligence/jasperrep orts/ Or consider Cognos Impromtu. See http://www.cognos.com/products/series7/impromptu/. This will cost, but its really nice and robust. From the requirements for ODBC, impromptu is the best bet. If ODBC can also mean JDBC, then the others may be better.
