Dear Siva, You can use PowerBuilder in conjunction with SequeLink Client/Server MiddleWare. It not only provides connectivity to Informix and a lot of other databases, but we also SequeLink Engine, which allows you to build interfaces to other non-relational data services that you might want to access. The example that is shipped with SequeLink Engine for Unix is what we call the "Unix Shell terminal", which allows you to issue shell commands from within your front-end application, and get the results back in a true Client/Server way.
