RE: Problem installing IDS 9.40 on Linux

Strange. Your server has crashed during SQL parsing... Just routine server operation. I've successfully run 9.40uc1 on RH7.2 without any problem.. Is this crash reproducible? If Yes, You should test Your entire environment carefully.
