Hi Paulo, sorry to take so long to answer - been off on holiday. I've just re-read your original message and realize my situation was slightly different - I was trying to connect to ISA as user Informix and receiving the same message - i.e. "Must be a user of Informix-Admin member Group". - which of course user Informix is already a member of so hopefully we are talking about the same situation. What else may be needed? I've had a good look around (can't find original message from inf'x support however) and the only changed I can determine that I made were in the ISA\\etc\\isacfg file. My original isacfg immediately after installation looked like this (as per the isacfg.template file also): snip>>>>>>>>>> INFORMIXSERVER stores7 INFORMIXDIR c:\\informix ONCONFIG onconfig.$INFORMIXSERVER TEMP e:\\temp\\isatmp END INFORMIXSERVER demo INFORMIXDIR c:\\informix ONCONFIG onconfig.$INFORMIXSERVER TEMP e:\\temp\\isatmp END <<<<<<<<<<<<snip But after I had made changes so as to get user Informix able to work it now looks like this: snip>>>>>>>>>> INFORMIXSERVER dbServerHRNZ INFORMIXDIR e:\\informix ONCONFIG onconfig.dbServerHRNZ TEMP e:\\temp\\isatmp INFORMIXSQLHOSTS \\\\HRNZ_NT7 DBTEMP E:\\INFORMIX\\infxtmp CLIENT_LOCALE EN_US.CP1252 DB_LOCALE EN_US.8859-1 SERVER_LOCALE EN_US.CP1252 DBLANG EN_US.CP1252 PATH E:\\INFORMIX\\bin;E:\\informix\\isa\\bin;E:\\progra~1\\perl\\bin; REMOTE_USER informix END <<<<<<<<<<<<snip So you could try adding in all the extra stuff that I appended between original and final as a starter with appropriate values for yourself. I'm not sure if they are all necessary but they don't hurt anything. I'm fairly certain I did nothing else. Does the user 'informix' work for using ISA? or is it only the user 'ISA' that won't work? Anyway, good luck :) Regards, Bryce Stenberg. I had a similiar problem. I am running apache server. I found that I had to have the apache service set up to log on as: informix (or whatever name you are using), rather than the default system account. That took care of it for me. Otherwise, I didn't have to do any configuring, ISA took care of everything during installtion, it was very painless.
