4gl -> spl

We are beginning the daunting task of translating many thousands of lines of 4gl code into spl (stored procedures). Are there any tools that might make this easier? Nothing fancy, just some preprocessor to put semicolons at the end of statements and fix the headers and footers of functions. Also, has anyone called procedures from 4gl? How is it done? I'm having trouble making it work, but I may have an old version of 4gl that doesn't recognize the "procedure" construct. -- I do more all day -- than most people do before 9 A.M.
