This is a common misconception. Mark, you can use ALTER FRAGMENT to
move tables whether they are fragmented or not, assumming 7.xx+ of
course. I just moved 20 tables today to free up space in an overused
dbspace on our developement machine this AM none were fragmented. The
real rub for Zdravko will be if he has databases declared in a dbspace
he will not be able to move the system catalog tables and competely
free all chunks.
