I need help with ontape

I have a AIX box running 4.2.1 with Informix 7.23.uc1. I am trying to automate ontape by piping a carriage return to ontape.... ontape refuses to see the carriage return... anyone have any clues? Thanks Paul cornett doctorx@kdsi.net Clow Valve Company
