Hi all,
Hopefully someone might be able to help me here.
Recently we restructured our database server to
use a completely different disk layout. As ontape
requires matching devices, I exported the schema
and the contents of each table using 'unload', then
successfully rebuilt and populated the database.
I have now come across the following problem.
We are using Excalibur, and one of the
applications we are developing has an Excalibur
index on a smart blob column. Upon trying to
insert a row into this table, we received the
follwing error:
etxgl_set_lock: Index fragment currently
locked by another user.
As this is an application under development,
I tried to drop the table in order to rebuild
and reindex it. However, this gave me the
follwing error:
214: Cannot remove file for
table (informix.aps_files)
12097: Smart Blobs: open: Bad Smart Large Object address. Object may have bee
The second message is truncated in DBAccess
and does not appear in the finderr utility.
My question is, is there any way to remove this
index or table?
Regards,
Gareth
