Stored procedure question

Hi, One of our SP need to return only one char variable (This is an existing SP and used all over the place and we have to do this so that we won't affect programs that use this SP ). We need the string to contain a carriage return and a tab Like this: "PQRSTUV<return> <tab>ABCDEF.." I cannot figure out how to use characters in palce of <return> and <tab>. Anyone has any idea ?
