Windows 4.11 RT slow?

On a Compaq 386DX2/66 with 4 meg, I have installed SE RT 4.10 and Windows 4GL 4.11 RT on Compaq's version of Windows 3.1. I have moved several simple programs (RDS 4gi's) compiled to p-code on SCO Unix 3.2r4.2, on Informix RDS 4.10.UE2. I invoke the program "4glgx programname" and have tried "4glgx30 programname" as well. To enter my name and address in a simple form, it took over a half an hour. After each letter is typed, there is a slight delay, FIVE disk hits, and then the letter is displayed. Is it only that there is not nearly enough memory (installation manual says 4 meg required)? Has anybody had a similiar problem and solved it? Thanks in advance.
