Hi Art and others. I do not know if this is that you are looking for but we have "home grown" 4GL interfaces to Remanco and Micros for the functions: - outlet charge posting -inquiry. They need a few C-calls which we have also developed. The way to connect to the POS is using a RS232C connections. In your 4GL program you call : - open (including the necessary tty-settings) - read n characters or read until a certain character - write n characters The characters read have to be interperted by yourself.
