Just curious if anyone is running Informix in Solaris non-global zones and if there have been any issues. Thanks, Ben sending to informix-list

There's been some discussion about this recently - you could Google for IDS 10 Solaris Zones and pretty much guarantee to come up with my previous answer. Some people have run with them. If you treat them right, there are no problems (each non-global zone is a separate host - needing a separate host name in the sqlhosts file; you should avoid setting shared memory resident; you should avoid setting NOAGE; if you set resident or noage, you get an error in the online log file, but the server continues running). There will soon be an article on the IBM web site about this, saying about the same stuff slightly more verbosely. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.01 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
