Need MP433 expert

Hello... I have a situation with which we (company) need help. We have a client running our product (SIRS) under Informix on a DEC MP433. At last check, they had 32MB of memory, quite a lot of free disk space, and 3 users. (Oh, only 170 records in the database at last check). User 1 has good response time on indexed and non-indexed queries, but with 3 users ( don't know what happens with 2), suddenly response time goes from seconds to MINUTES. There are no other app's on the system, so naturally the client blames us. They say "the system responds fine when we're NOT using the database". By this they mean that when they type something at the system prompt, the prompt comes back quickly...not exactly an acid-test... Anyway, we've looked at the system parameters; we can't find anything wrong. It's not us -- we've checked the database, even had them dump it to tape and bring it back to us. We have another client running 5+ users with 33K records on a comparably-sized MP, and they're getting great response. We can't find any 433 "experts" who might be interested in doing a little side-work to help us figure this out.
