HI Buddy, You don't have to recreate 5 database instances. Once you set the system date to whatever date you want infomix is going to work with that date. What you will also need to do is aging of your data in the database. Then you can change system date to whichever date you are trying to test and then test your application. thanks, khem chander kchande@yahoo.com umesh.patel@usa.net wrote in article <7hb185$9b7$1@nnrp1.deja.com>... > Hi All- > > We are testing for y2k. > We are running Solaris 2.6 and using Informix online 5.10 uc5. > we created five different database instance on that system at different > date ( e.g one on current date time, one on Dec. 31st 1999, one on > Jan.3rd 2000 and so on while keep date roll forward). > > How we have to set date to currnet date. > My questions will be > Do I have to re-create all five database instance? > What will happen If I don't re-create all those instances and change > system date only? > What If I re-install OS and restore database instances? > > Can someone will tell me which way I should go? > > Thanks in advance, > > Umesh > > > > --== Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ ==-- > ---Share what you know.
