I tried attributes, no ->help. -> ->attribute (border, message line last + 1, error line 100000, prompt line 0) -> ->:-( all combinations. According to the manual there really seems to be ->no option "nomessage" or were I too fast to give in? -> ->Anyway, can YOU help me? I *know* that the standard 4gl way is to put a ->menu on top of the form it belongs to. But, alas, it doesn't belong to a ->form, I don't know which window is active, the only thing I do know is that ->I have only three rows for that. -> ->What did you say? The border? It appears that the menu functions of 4GL assume that you will have at least two lines. If you don't, then they trash your screen in various ways, depending on the details of your program and environment. HOWEVER, since you CAN afford three lines and your window is at the top of screen, why not try something like the following: OPEN WINDOW kleine AT 1,1 WITH 3 ROWS, 79 COLUMNS DISPLAY "--------------------------------------------------------------" AT 3,1 This gives you a "one-edge" border, and still allows two lines for the menu.
