Repost of DBA compensation question...

I made the mistake of posting when everyone seemed to be in Seattle. So please forgive any redundancies. This is not a recruiting pitch. I'm with a consulting firm retained by a south Florida client to help find two Informix DBA's. My question regards total compensation...not just salary. The hiring authorities require that the HPUX DBA have 5 yrs. experience and the AIX DBA have at least three yrs. experience. The salary cap is $75K... which everyone tells me is too low... but the benefits are outstanding... 28 paid days off, $5K+ signing bonus, $4K profit bonus, insurance (dental, vision, life, disability), DSS system and DirecTV programming, 5% matching 401K, tuition reimbursement, fitness center, credit union, huge discount programs for cars, etc. etc. The relocation package is as good as it gets.
