We need some more information about what you're doing, i.e. Are you
restoring to a different server? Are you restoring to the same server?
What are your onconfig parameters? (esp with regard to tape). Are you
trying restore, and getting a failure message? Or, are you getting a
system message saying that ontape can't be found. We need something
more to chew on. Usually, the ontape -r, should work with little
thought - just be sure to remove the current tape and replace it
temporarily with a new tape when ontape ask you to back up existing
logs.
