need ESQL/C for Windows compiler flags

Anyone have experience using ESQL/C for windows with VisualC++ 1.0? I'm having trouble getting a VERY simple program to compile & link from the command line using esql. If I use esqlc (the separate preprocessor) & then open VC++ using the .c file I can build & execute my program. esql seems to pass the wrong flags to cl - at least wrong if you want to build a "quickwin" app, as I do. /Gw clashes with /Mq Anyone do this successfully? Also anyone have a problem with the date conversion routines? rdatestr(), rmftdate(), rstrdate(). etc. dont work for me, yet routines such as dttoasc(), rdownshift() that deal with datatypes other than type: DATE (long) work just fine. I am including all the correct headers & linking with the correct libs. Mike -- Mike Stenzler 70 Hudson St. 201.798.5784 Mgr. Info. Sys.
