Just shutdown the engine, copy the sqlhosts and TBCONFIG files to the new server's home directory, change the startup and runtime environment scripts to point to the new server and bring the engine back up. I've never jumped as far as you are contemplating (5.02 -> 5.08) but I did jump 5.02->5.06 with no trouble two years ago. Art S. Kagel
