Pete,
probably not, because that kind of control is not part of the "start
violations table" command.
However, after running the START command, you should be able to
ALTER TABLE blah_vio NEXT SIZE 100000
ALTER TABLE blah_dia NEXT SIZE 100000
so that the major part of the violations/diagnostic tables are in a huge
extent. This is almost as good, I think.
