NewEra/4GL ++ Query

Dear All, I am having some problems understanding the way Informix's tool set is structured, and how they will work together. In particular, I am confused about Informix NewEra and 4GL++. At present my understanding of (some of) Informix tools and engines as follows: Unix Platform : I-STAR/INET ONLINE/SE I4GL ISQL ESQL 4GL++ Dos (Windows) Platform : I-NET HYPERSCRIPT VIEWPOINT NEWERA My question is: 1) How does NewEra fit into the picture with 4GL++ ? ie: If I create a NewEra application on Windows, how would I make this work using 4GL++ on a Unix host with a character-based interface (or wouldn't I ?) 2) Is 4GL ++ still a going concern ?
