I have used Oracle, Sybase, Informix, Ingres, Progress, etc. When I have a choice I use Informix. For performance, standards adherence, safety, features, support; in short everywhere that it counts, Informix as a company and as a product are out in front of the competition! We use Informix here at Bloomberg as well as Oracle. Informix for production database, Oracle for data warehouse systems mainly to have a foot at both vendors. Art S. Kagel
