4GL on Linux: Problems with floats "/*.81"
Posted in 1999
Hi all! We are porting several apps from SCO 4GL 4.X to Linux 4GL 7.20.UD7 and we're experiencing several problems with floats. When we read a float from the database, very often, when we put the values on reports, we get a value of ".81", sometimes precedeed by "/*". We have been working around by switching float to decimal but you can see that's not a good solution, whe the databases have lots of floats. Also, as the rounding of values is different, we have lots of problems on that too. As anyone experienced this kind of trouble too? If so, how are you coping with it? Last time we talked with IFX Support about this they didn't have any clue about it. TIA, Fernando -- Fernando Fernandez http://despodata.pt/ddata/pessoal/ferdez.htm
