Specify user in sql statement

Hello, The problem I have is since we have an extra server at our old server (installed by an external company) I used the sql-statement without specifying the user which created the table for example : select * from items But at our new server we need to specify te username which created the table for example: select * from 'username'.items Both server have the same version of informix installed : 7.31 UD1 on solaris Any Idea's ? I hope I don't have to reprogram all my applications.... thanx in advance Sander Wiggers (remove nospam from my e-mail address)

I think it is, but i'm not sure, any idea how to check ? and if so is there an easy way to change it ? What happens if you (running as an ordinary user and not informix) say
'select tabname from systables where tabid = 1'?
If it says no such table, you have a mode ansi database.
There is no easy way to change a database from MODE ANSI to any other
mode. Recreate from scratch - dbexport and dbimport is plausible.
