hdr groups with ER

.. don't think my last post made it. I have a serverA as a primary (HDR) to serverB. I have a 'shm' DBSERVERNAME and two DBSERVERALIASES: serverAtcp and serverAtcpR. The serverAtcpR service talks across a separate subnet just for the HDR. I now need to add ER to replicate a batch of tables from serverA -> serverC (and eventually serverA -> serverD). Since I am supposed to put serverA and serverB in the same group per the documentation, which services do I use? serverAtcp and serverBtcp, serverAtcpR and serverBtcpR, all four?? Also, the docs say to change my environment $INFORMIXSERVER to the 'tcp' connection. Which one; serverAtcp or serverAtcpR? If I use serverAtcpR, then all utilities or monitoring programs using $INFORMIXSERVER will be "impacting" my ER/HDR connection. RH Linux Enterprise AS, IDS 9.40.UC2 Thanks for any help! /bobr/

As long as the subnet between ServerA and ServerB is set up, this should be OK, and service should fail over to the secondary. Best to test of course!
