Need help on two issues :

Hello , Any ideas on the following ? (1) I am trying to connect Informix Online Workgroup Server V7.12TC5 = on WinNT V4.0 to Informix Online Dynamic Server V5.0.1 on AIX V3.2.5 . I have made entries in both SQLhosts, and configured the NT dbserver = with an alias to provide for onsoctcp connectivity to UNIX. The command = center of the NT OWS does not give an option of connecting to the UNIX server, = it only recognises the NT OWS server ( is the functionality of the command center restricted to OWS servers on NT ? ). However,I am able to see the UNIX ODS server through the database explorer of the NT OWS server . But when I try to load the databases on the UNIX instance, I get error : = 27001 : Read error while trying to connect Is it or is it not possible to connect OWS 7.12.TC5 with ODS 5.0.1 ? If yes, how do I rectify/work around this error ? (2) We are trying to store a jpeg file in an Informix BLOB field. To = convert from jpeg to Blob, we use the BLOb function provided by Netscape = Livewire. But the storage is not being accepted. Has anyone faced a = problem of this sort....and more importantly, solved it ??! Thanks in advance for any help , Vinitha
