Is this is the state of affairs with this > company?? Gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling... Not sure how they could prevent me from saying that. I was fully aware of their problems with marketing, customer service and availability of information before I joined the company, but the superiority of the products themselves kinda cancelled that out. Plus I figured that I could "make suggestions" more loudly from the inside :> If I gave the impression that the company itself bites or problems exist through all layers, then I apologize. In the year I've been with Informix, I've seen a lot of improvements in areas that were really weak. I would still like to see improvements in marketing, QA and customer service, but at the same time they do listen to the suggestions and are more responsive than other companies I've worked for... As far as the warm and fuzzy feeling--well, as a customer, if you're persistent and/or know the right people to talk to, you can get things done (for the most part). A lot of us joined the company knowing that we could help it, and that alone should be worth a couple of warm and fuzzies...having worked with Oracle, Microsoft and Sybase in the past, I think we've been more flexible with suggestions and far more open to change. >shrug<
