RE: Smarter Questions for IBM

My response is official as the whole thing (including or especially responses) are moderated. After I entered my answer I got a notice to this effect and only after the moderator had approved my response showed up. Nevertheless, as far as I can judge (I didn't keep a copy of my original response) my original response was published unchanged, as the moderator also ensured me, that my response "is good on its own" (even though it did not contain a comparison against Oracle). Ok... I just left a handful of comments. First, I wonder how long they will stay because they are a bit acidic. ;-) (But they are honest and truthful. Unfortunately the truth can be a bitter pill) IMHO the site is a bit of a failure. Its purpose is to help generate buzz and the only buzz is a bunch of angry Informixers who want to know why they were left out of the party. Sorry, guys, but its true. I went over and looked at the article How Netezza fits in with IBM Smart Analytics Systemand in 7 days it generated 347 hits with 5 comment that say nothing but reiterate a twitter plug to the video segment. Considering that 'Big Data' analytics is a very hot topic... When you try to make a marketing position statement about how your products fit together and no one really pays much attention, what does that really tell you? But hey! What do I know? I realize I leave some cryptic hints to IBMers about this issue and it just goes over their heads. Here's another one for IBMers.
