You definitely need more buffers. -- Bye now, Obnoxio "C'est pas parce qu'on n'a rien ' dire qu'il faut fermer sa gueule" - Coluche "I'm trying to see things your way, but I can't get my head up my ass" - JCH "Ogni uomo mi guarda come se fossi una testa di cazzo" - Marco Travel broadens a person. Humm haaa ...
Well, I agree to taking your buffers up to 800,000 - spread over 256
LRUS - so 6.5 Mb per LRU seems okey dokey too.
Why not look at RA_PAGES and RA_THRESHOLD, 'cos you are pumping through
this data at a fair rate when looking at your io/s :
onstat -g iovclass/vp s io/s totalops dskread dskwrite dskcopy wakeups io/wup
errors
kio 0 s 542.1 266043030 262575149 3467881 0 505359119 0.5
0
kio 1 s 301.4 147943204 144184932 3758272 0 268265145 0.6
0
kio 2 s 317.3 155740487 152138171 3602316 0 287022047 0.5
Try something silly at least once :D
RA_PAGES 1024
RA_THRESHOLD 64
would be cranking it high.
For a "mix" try
RA_PAGES 128
RA_THRESHOLD 16
