That puts us back to the original question: Why do I get indexes that are 40-60% full on average when I specify 80, 90 or 100% FILLFACTOR? Maybe the local folks were right, bottom up index build isn't happening until V8 or so....that or it just doesn't fill right....makes FILLFACTOR parameter pretty pointless....gm. -- Greg Moye Electronic Data Systems Corp. - Plano TX
