How to determine the NLS of the current session
Posted in 1995
It does not appear (from reading or no replies to my previous post) that one can determine within SPL code what NLS setting a database session is currently set to. I need to raise my own exceptions where the message text must reflect the NLS of the user's session. That is, my code dynamically assigns to the variable error_text the appropriate string for an error based on detecting that the user requires a german message: raise exception 12345, 0, error_text; If I am correct, short of recording a user profile with a locale attribute how else do people internationalise their SPL errors? -- Nigel Campbell Voice: (613) 738-1338 ext 3016 P.O.
