ODBC Driver
Hi, Hi, I am a developer of an Internet shopping system and would like to add Informix database support to the system. Does Informix have an ODBC driver, and is it available for download? Does it come with the product? Thanks
Hallo, there are Infomix ODBC drivers bundled with Informix Connect/Informix Client SDK V2.x. Connect V2.x: Runtime with ODBC driverrs. CSDK V2.x: Development with ODBC drivers. The current version of both is V2.30.TC1 Have a look at http://www.intraware.com/informix for download. Included are ODBC drivers made by Informix (also called CLI drivers), and ODBC drivers for Informix made by Intersolv. If you have versions < 2.30.TC1 you have to use Intersolv's ODBC drivers in order to have the newest ODBC standards supported. Office97 needs that. If you have version 2.30.TC1 you may also use the ODBC drivers made by Informix, there is no need to use Intersolv drivers any more in this case. Take a look at http://www.sco.com/vision/products/sqlretriever/ for more information and a downloadable eval.
