In my opinion it is most likely it would read like WSANO_DATA (getservbyname) or (gethostbyname). In that case the former would indicate, that the service you specified is not listed in your services-file, while the latter would indicate, that the hostname you specified can not be found in your hosts file. Check for this and hopefully you'll find the source of the problem there. Regards, Roland
