Questions

Greatings, 1) Does anyone know which databases (if any) support a data type like the Informix SERIAL data type? My primary focus is on these databases: Oracle, Ingres, Sybase, RDB, etc. 2) We are writting an application with ESQL/C, using OSF/DCE to implement our client/server functionality. We have encountered certain library order dependancies (i.e. the Informix libraries must be listed before the DCE libraries). My question - is anyone else doing work like this? I would like to have a warm and fuzzy that using the thread-safe DCE libraries will work in all cases with the non-thread safe ESQL libraries.
