Linked tables in SQL
Posted in 2006
Ken Shew asked whether anyone used SQL Server linked tables with IDS 9.4, and could connect by ODBC but not OLE DB. DL Redden said they used OLE DB from MSSQL 2005 to IDS 10 with CSDK 2.90.TC4 and advised running coledbp.sql against sysmaster from the client etc directory. No confirmation of the result.

Is anyone using linked tables in SQL to connect to a ids9.4 db ken.shew@state.co.us
We're using them, in limited fashion, but it's against IDS 10 from MSSQL 2005. Thanks for your reply. Are you connecting via odbc or ole/db. I can get the odbc to connect but not the ole/db. We are using OLEDB. Make sure that you have ran the coledbp.sql file against sysmaster in the instance that you are trying to connect to. This file is in the etc directory of the client install. We're using CSDK 2.90.TC4, BTW.
