They are considering it. There is a trend to make sample code and answers to problems in publications available on the Net, one notable example being uunet. However, I can see how Informix could consider on-line access to such material as being an incentive to subscribe to InformixLink, and thus not want to release it. I personally feel that Informix would gain more than it would lose by making such files available to the Net. Since _Tech_Notes_ is a copyrighted publication, it will be Informix's call. From what I know of copyright law (not being a lawyer, etc.), copying is copying, regardless of the mechanics. Even a manual transcription of a work is still a "copy." If I do get any files from Informix for the archive, I'll post a notice.
