Now the funny part... 1) Yet another useless Oracle blog in an effort to drum up business. 2) This implies that the marketplace for Oracle 'talent' or DBAs has met its capacity. Seems that there's enough influx from the third world countries to cover their needs. 3) With c.d.i, IBM blogs, a handfull of Informix centric blogs, we can educate and help a large population of DBAs. This would imply the following: A) That the average IDS DBA is more intelligent than an Oracle DBA. B) That the average IDS DBA has some free time on their hands because well, IDS once set up, is easier to maintain. C) That IDS doesn't require a lot of interpretation of their user manuals or sneaky tips/tricks to get around the system. D) That the IDS market while growing doesn't require IDS DBA consultants to put out a "shingle" to get business. It seems that Daniel's method of gathering statistics of the industry are flawed.
